Bayerische Staatsoper announces company’s new season 2022-23.
Conductor Mikhail Agrest will take the podium to conduct Tchaikovsky Overtures and Timur Zangiev will lead the performances of Eugene Onegin.
Boris Pinkhasovich will return to Munich as Lescaut in Manon Lescaut, Caroline Wettergeren will return to the Bayerishce Staatoper as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Ophelia in Hamlet.
Victoria Randem will make her house debut as Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, and Ewa Plonka will debut in Munich as The Foreign Princess in Rusalka. Nadezhda Karyazina and Jens Larsen will appear as Ninon and Vater Barré in Die Teufel von Loudun.
The premiere of War and Peace will feature Oksana Volkova, Taras Berezhansky, Stanislav Kuflyuk, Gennady Bezzubenkov, Maxim Paster and Granit Musliu. Liuba Orfenova will join the creative team as Language Coach of the production. Maxim Paster will later take the stage as Shuysky in Boris Godunov, joined by Granit Musliu as The Boyar-in-Attendance and Roman Chabaranok as Nikitich.
Opernstudio member Roman Chabaranok will appear as Ein Hauptmann in Eugene Onegin, followed by appearances in Don Carlo as Deputierte, Sid in La Fanciulla del West. Granit Musliu can be also seen as Jeppo Liverotto in Lucrezia Borgia, as well as will appear in Un Ballo in Maschera and Lohengrin.
