Azim Karimov´s recent and future engagements include the recording of Peter and the Wolf with the Bayerisches Staatsorchester, concert in the Münchner Opernfestspiele with Bayerisches Staatsorchester and Bayerischer Staatsopernchor in addition with the National Radio Orchestra of Romania, the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra and Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin.
Azim participated in the International Music Festival ArsLonga XX with ‘Beethoven Marathon’ and ArsLonga XXI with ‘Tchaikovsky Marathon’ at the Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow. He also took an active part in the International Diaghilev Festival.
During his career, Azim held the position of Chief Conductor with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra ‘Entre Nous’, Chief Conductor of the 26th Kyoto International Music Festival, Chief Conductor of the Moscow State Chamber Orchestra of the Pavel Slobodkin Centre and full-time Conductor of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. He has also successfully collaborated with the major orchestras in Moscow, such as the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Novaya Opera Theatre and the Studio for New Music.
