The best surprise in Kaufmann's "La boheme" cast was Victoria Randem as Musetta, who was definitely on par with Mimi in terms of vocal warmth and lyrical intensity.

I don't think you can find anyone more charming than Victoria Randem in the lead role. Not only does she sing exceptionally well, she also acts superbly and is the purest acrobat.

Victoria Randem is convincing as The Cunning Vixen. She plays with the many facets of the role: The fox is both cunning and naive, both animal and human. Her voice carries clearly through all the Czech consonants, and she excels particularly in the high parts.

But the focal point of the performance is Victoria Randem, who truly shines as the Cunning little Vixen. Randem started her career in the opera's children's choir and has since built herself up at several international opera houses. She has the confidence and quality of a truly great singer, both in vocal tone and acting—and not least in physical theatricality. I think it's the first time in my life I've seen a soprano do a cartwheel on stage, and she did it three times in a row! In the second act, there are longer moments of singing, and now she really gets to show what she can do as a singer. It is quite clear that we are witnessing the emergence of a new Norwegian opera star in Randem.
