With Christmas on our doorsteps, what a better way to spend this season than with one of the most popular operas — Mozart's The Magic Flute. TACT is extremely proud of the multitude of our talented artists who will bring the magic of Mozart to the audiences around the world this December.
Starting December 13th, TACT artists Adam Kutny, Victoria Randem, and Caroline Wettergreen take the stage of Berlin’s Staatsoper Unter den Linden bringing their magnificent renditions of Papageno, Pamina, and the Queen of the Night respectively.
Just down the street from the Staatsoper, its neighbor Komische Oper raises the curtain on Mozart’s masterpiece on December 15th with Baritone Hubert Zapiór taking on the role of Papageno.
The city that never sleeps - New York sees soprano Alexandra Olczyk making her eagerly anticipated debut in the role of the Queen of the Night sharing the stage with mezzo Carolyn Sproule appearing as the Third Lady at the Metropolitan Opera on December 16th.
That is the same day that the London audiences will get to experience soprano Aigul Khismatullina making her Royal Opera House Covent Garden debut as the Queen of the Night alongside mezzo Kseniia Nikolaieva, who appears as the Third Lady. Joining the cast in January are tenor Long Long as Tamino, Colin Judson as Monostatos and Aleksandra Olczyk as Queen of the Night.
And our last stop, on the other side of the world, is Taiwan, where Tenor Konu Kim debuts the role of Tamino at the National Taichung Theater on December 16th with an additional performance on December 18th.
Happy holidays to all and to all the best cheers (from the audience that is)
