We are delighted to share that bass Morris Robinson will sing Ramfis and mezzo-soprano Agnieszka Rehlis will take on the role of Amneris in the historic staging of Verdi’s Aida at the Adelaide Oval in February 2026.

This once-in-a-generation event will bring Franco Zeffirelli’s legendary Arena di Verona production to Australia for the very first time. Presented on an unprecedented scale, the production will feature towering sets spanning 100 metres, lavish costumes, and over 700 artists and crew, making it the largest opera ever staged in Australia.

Both Robinson and Rehlis are renowned for their commanding stage presence and vocal artistry, and their performances as Ramfis and Amneris will stand at the dramatic heart of this epic production. They join a world-class cast that includes Jonas Kaufmann, Angel Blue, Brian Jagde, Elina Garanča, and María José Siri. Maestro Nicola Luisotti will conduct.

With its monumental scale, breathtaking music, and star-studded cast, Aida in Adelaide promises to be a landmark operatic event that will resonate for years to come.
