30-year old Polish conductor Dawid Runtz has been named as the winner of the Orlando Prize, a Croatian prize awarded for the best artistic achievements in music program during the Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
Young Polish conductor Dawid Runtz, a rising star of Europe’s music scene, has already become a favourite of the Zagreb audience as the chief conductor of the Zagreb Philharmonic. He is endowed with an impeccable elegant conducting technique and extensive knowledge that allows him to penetrate deep into the core of the most complex scores and deliver impressive and unforgettable interpretations of anthological works of world classical literature, but also of challenging works by contemporary composers.
Highlights of the 2022-23 season include ZPO´s season inauguration in Strauss´An Alpine Symphony in addition to debut concerts with Prague Philharmonic, Malaga Philharmonic or Lichtenstein Symphony Orchestra among others.
