To me, the repertoire should not only succumb to the audiences, but also be in the service of the orchestra's progress, enabling new challenges, encouraging musicians to exercise, thus keeping them fresh and awake
Cooperation between the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Dawid Runtz in the performance of Bersa's Dramatic Overture, Op. 25a and one of the most glamorous orchestral scores of the beginning of the 20th century, Stravisky's Right of Spring, as well as the conductor's attention in the performance of one of the most beloved solo concertos, Schumann's Cello in A minor (...) confirmed the highest level of mutual respect and understanding between the conductor and the orchestra and inevitably caused enthusiasm in the audience.
