He has an impressive list of current and recent engagements, including roles such as Pinkerton in "Madama Butterfly" at Teatro Grande di Brescia and Opera Malta, Maurizio in "Adriana Lecouvreur" at Opera de Las Palmas Gran Canaria, and Canio I in "Pagliacci" at Opera Bergen, Opera Limoges, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, and Teatro Carlo Felice Genua. Escobar has also taken on lead roles such as Radames in "Aida" at Opera de las Palmas and in Verona, the titular character in "Don Carlo" at Opera National de Paris and Teatro Real Madrid, Macduff in "Macbeth" at Deutsche Oper Berlin, and Otello in "Otello" at Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. Additionally, he has played Pinkerton in "Madama Butterfly" at Dutch National Opera, Riccardo in "Un Ballo in Maschera" at Opera de Camara de Navarra Pamplona, and Alzira and Pinkerton in "Madama Butterfly" at Opera Bilbao.
