Opera di Roma announces the 2023-24 Season!

The esteemed Opera di Roma has recently announced its highly anticipated schedule for the upcoming season 23/24, featuring an array of thrilling premieres and revivals that are sure to captivate and delight audiences. 

One of the highlights of the season is the performance of the esteemed bass Jerzy Butryn, who will be taking on the role of Mefistofele in Arrigo Boito's renowned opera "Mefistofele" in December. 

Highly talented sopranos Aleksandra Olczyk and Ania Jeruc are set to bring their amazing vocal skills to the stage, portraying the beloved characters of Queen of the Night and 1st Lady, respectively, in Mozart's timeless masterpiece "Die Zauberflöte".

In February, the esteemed mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina will be joining the cast of Pergolesi's "The Stabat Mater", lending her exceptional voice to this unforgettable performance. 

In April, soprano Cornelia Beskow will be taking on the challenging role of Jenufa in Janacek's renowned opera "Jenufa", showcasing her incredible vocal range and artistry.
