We are delighted to welcome soprano Joanna Zawartko to our artist roster.
Her recent and upcoming highlights include Desdemona in Otello with Wrocław Opera, Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly with Oper Graz, Tatyana in Eugene Onegin and Tamara in The Demon at Staatstheater Nürnberg, as well as Mimì in La bohème and the title roles in Moniuszko’s Halka and Szymanowski’s Hagith. She has also appeared as Amelia in Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra with Oper Graz, Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Landestheater Linz, the Grand Theatre in Łódź, and the Wrocław Opera.
Equally at home on the concert platform, Joanna has performed with numerous philharmonic orchestras across Poland and beyond, including Lower Silesia, Kalisz, Koszalin, Lublin, Pomerania, Poznań, Sudety, Silesia, Zielona Góra, and Košice, as well as at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław and the National Philharmonic in Warsaw.
A laureate of prestigious vocal competitions, Joanna was a prizewinner at the 9th International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw and the 49th Antonín Dvořák International Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary. In 2018, she was honoured with the Coryphaeus of Polish Music Award in the "Discovery of the Year" category — a testament to her growing stature as one of Poland’s most exciting vocal talents.
We are proud to support Joanna in the next chapter of her vibrant career.
