We are thrilled to announce that emerging conductor Rotem Nir has joined the TACT roster.

He has conducted most Israeli orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, the Raanana Symphonette, the Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.

Starting from the 2022/23 season, Rotem is serving regularly as an assistant conductor at the Israeli Opera, working closely with Daniel Oren, Dan Ettinger, and Asher Fisch. Rotem made his house debut last August with La Traviata, when he assisted the company's music director Dan Ettinger and conducted two shows. In addition, Rotem continues his role in the Israel Chamber Orchestra as an assistant conductor (since September 2020), where he conducts regularly in subscription concerts, educational concerts, and special projects. During the years 2019-2022, Rotem played in the Israel Symphony Orchestra (Israeli Opera Orchestra) in the position of associate principal bassoon. In February 2022, he made his ISO conducting debut with a subscription concert series which received warm reviews in the Israeli press.

He was recently accepted as a Conducting Fellow at the Verbier Festival 2023, where he will be mentored by and network with top conductors from the world of classical music.

With his talent and experience, Rotem Nir is a rising star in the world of classical music, and TACT is proud to have him on its roster. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this exceptional conductor.
