We are delighted to welcome tenor Viktor Antipenko to the TACT roster!
Praised for his expansive, effortless sound, riveting stage presence, and exceptional technique, Viktor Antipenko has firmly established himself as a leading tenor in the dramatic repertoire, earning international acclaim for his portrayals of Hermann, Canio, Radames, Samson, Don José, Siegmund, and Lohengrin , among others.
In the 2024/25 season, he makes several exciting debuts, including Canio in Pagliacci at Staatsoper Hannover and Siegmund in Die Walküre at Theater Dortmund, conducted by Gabriel Feltz and directed by Peter Konwitschny. He also appears as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Kansas City Opera, as Erik in Der Fliegende Holländer with the Fort Worth Symphony under the baton of Robert Spano, and reunites with conductor Rafael Payare to open the Caramoor Summer Music Festival with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
Recent highlights include his debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Pinkerton, Luigi in Il Tabarro at Sydney Opera house with Opera Australia, Radames in Aida and Manrico in Il Trovatore in Tel Aviv, and Siegmund with Atlanta Opera, as well as performances at Tokyo, Dallas, Innsbruck, São Paulo, at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw with Vasily Petrenko and the Philadelphia Orchestra with Vladimir Jurowsky.
