Diana Lamar has established herself as one of the most compelling dramatic sopranos of her generation. Acclaimed for the richness of her timbre, her commanding vocal power, and her magnetic stage presence, her repertoire spans from Verdi and Puccini to Wagner, Strauss, and the great Slavic composers.
Recent highlights include Elektra at the Palacio de Bellas Artes and at the Festival Internacional Cervantino, as well as Tosca at the Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni. She has appeared on important international stages including the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu, where her performances have been praised for their intensity, dramatic truth, and vocal brilliance.
Her signature roles include Elektra, Tosca, Senta (Der fliegende Holländer), Abigaille (Nabucco), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Turandot, and Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), showcasing a rare combination of dramatic depth and vocal stamina. In concert, she performs major symphonic works such as Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder and Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder, further demonstrating her musical refinement and stylistic versatility.
Diana has collaborated with distinguished conductors and directors across Europe and the Americas, and continues to expand her international presence with new productions of Elektra, Tosca, and Turandot in the upcoming seasons.
She completed her advanced vocal studies in Switzerland, earning Master’s degrees in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy, and has pursued further artistic development in Italy, France, Austria, and the United States. Fluent in several languages, she brings linguistic authenticity and dramatic nuance to a wide-ranging repertoire.
We are very pleased to begin this collaboration and look forward to accompanying Diana Lamar in the next chapter of her distinguished international career.
