We are delighted to welcome Mexican-German star tenor Rodrigo Porras Garulo to the TACT roster!

In the 2025/26 season, he returns to Deutsche Oper Berlin for two major role debuts: Paolo il Bello in Francesca da Rimini under Iván López-Reynoso, and Loris Ipanov in Fedora with John Fiore. His upcoming engagements also include Tosca at the Norwegian National Opera and the State Opera Hanover, Wozzeck at the Auditorio Nacional de España, and the role of Rafael in El gato montés at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.

Rodrigo’s recent seasons have been marked by critically acclaimed performances, including his role debut as Otello in Ulm, Calaf in Turandot at Theater Basel in a new production by Christof Loy, with Anna Netrebko in Wiesbaden, and at the Hamburg State Opera, as well as Manrico in Il trovatore and The Prince in Rusalka at Staatsoper Stuttgart. He has also made notable appearances at Deutsche Oper Berlin, State Opera Hamburg, Glyndebourne Festival, Teatro alla Scala, and many more. For his 2020 role debut as Calaf, he was nominated for Opernwelt’s Singer of the Year.
