TACT is delighted to welcome mezzo-soprano Ramona Zaharia to our roster!
Ramona has captivated audiences worldwide with her portrayals of some of opera’s most iconic mezzo-soprano roles. She has recently performed as Carmen at the Royal Opera House, Opéra de Nice, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, and Prague National Theatre, as well as Magdalena in Rigoletto at the Royal Opera House and Teatro Real de Madrid. Her repertoire also includes Eboli in Don Carlos, Fenena in Nabucco, Amneris in Aida, Olga in Eugene Onegin, Erda in Das Rheingold, and Azucena in Il Trovatore at Deutsche Oper am Rhein. She was also featured in the title role of The Sphinx in Enescu’s Oedip at the prestigious Enescu Festival.
Previously, she has graced the stages of the Metropolitan Opera, Staatsoper Hamburg, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Stuttgart, and the Latvian National Opera, among many others.
