We are delighted to welcome Cypriot baritone Yiorgo Ioannou to the TACT roster!

A dynamic and versatile performer, Yiorgo has already appeared at some of Europe’s most renowned venues and with prestigious ensembles. Recent and upcoming highlights include his debut at Teatro Regio di Torino in the title role of Smirnov in The Bear, a new production of Walton’s opera; his first appearances in Carmina Burana with the George Enescu Philharmonic Choir at the Athenaeum Summer Festival; Faure's Requiem with Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra and debut with Opera Oviedo.

He has given a gala debut at Musikverein Wien, and toured China with the Chamber Orchestra of the Opéra National de Paris. Notable stage appearances include Mercurio (L’Incoronazione di Poppea) at the Athénée Théâtre Louis-Jouvet and on tour in Dijon, Enrico in Haydn’s Isola Disabitata, and Nazarene in Salome at the Opéra Bastille under Simone Young.

Yiorgo has also been heard as Gregorio in Roméo et Juliette and Germano in La Scala di seta in Paris, and has appeared in gala concerts at the Opéra Garnier, Opéra Bastille, and New York's Lincoln Center alongside pianist Cyprien Katsaris.
