We are delighted to welcome conductor Katharina Morin to our roster.
Currently conductor at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and assistant to General Music Director, Katharina is establishing herself as one of the most versatile and exciting young conductors.
Her upcoming season includes debuts with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie Herford, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, the Orquesta de Córdoba, the Orchestre Pasdeloup, and the MDR-Chor. She has already appeared at major venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, collaborating with leading ensembles including the Orchestre National Avignon Provence, Orquestra Gulbenkian Lisbon, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, ensemble Reflektor, and the Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier.
Important collaborations include the assistance under Robin Ticciati with the Orchestre de Paris and GMD Georg Fritzsch at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe in a new production of Richard Strauss’ Rosenkavalier. Earlier assistantships took her to the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Staatstheater Darmstadt.
As a dual scholarship holder of the prestigious German Forum Dirigieren – in the choir and orchestra conducting categories – she has worked with the renowned WDR Rundfunkchor, the Chorwerk Ruhr and more.
Her artistry has been recognized with prestigious awards, including Third Prize and the Génération Opéra Prize at La Maestra 2024, as well as First Prize at the Deutscher Preis für Chordirigieren with the RIAS Kammerchor.
