We are delighted to welcome bass-baritone David Lagares to our management roster.
David Lagares has established himself as a versatile and compelling artist on leading Spanish and international stages. His recent engagements include Il trovatore with Amigos de la Ópera de Vigo, Il barbiere di Siviglia at Teatro Villamarta de Jerez, and a wide repertoire at Teatro Real de Madrid, where he has appeared in Tosca, La traviata, Adriana Lecouvreur and I Lombardi. At the Gran Teatre del Liceu, he has performed in productions such as Ariadne auf Naxos, Die Zauberflöte, Turandot, Madama Butterfly and Macbeth. Further appearances include Don Giovanni, Roméo et Juliette and La bohème at the Ópera de Oviedo, as well as Un ballo in maschera at Baluarte–Pamplona.
His upcoming seasons feature an extensive range of major roles, with productions including Carmen, Tosca, Jugar con Fuego, Roméo et Juliette, Maria Stuarda, Simon Boccanegra, La fanciulla del West, Attila and Don Carlo, among others.
David studied at the Professional Conservatory of Seville with Esperanza Melguizo and Carlos Aragón. He has been a frequent guest at Teatro de la Maestranza, participating in productions such as Don Giovanni, La bohème, Die Zauberflöte, Tosca, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Andrea Chénier and Adriana Lecouvreur. His career also includes notable appearances at Opéra Grand Avignon, ABAO-OLBE, Teatro Cervantes de Málaga and the Ópera de Oviedo.
