Biography highlights

MEXICAN CONDUCTOR OF EXTRAORDINARY CAREER 

Lopez-Reynoso was the youngest conductor to be selected by Mo. Zedda for the Rossinian Academy in Pesaro at just 23 years of age, to conduct “Il Viaggio a Reims”. In 2017 he returned to Pesaro by invitation of the Mo. Zedda and Ernesto Palacio to conduct the extraordinary concert by Ildar Abdrazakov, who praised the Maestro’s work. They included works by Rossini, Verdi and Gounod. The Maestro has conducted numerous concerts with Javier Camarena in the past years as well. 


OPERA 

The Maestro finishes the season, at just 28 years of age, with 29 titles and more than 100 opera performances as opera music director, in addition to another 15 titles as assistant music director. Future projects include Il Turco in Italia for Opera de Oviedo, premieres of Carmen, La Boheme, Turn of the Screw and Die Lustige Witwe,  and another project with Damiano Michieletto. The Maestro has made several Mexican debuts of Rossinian titles. 


SYMPHONIC

Mo. Lopez-Reynoso has collaborated with all of the most important orchestras in his native Mexico as well as other important ones in Italy, Spain and Germany. Soloists include Michael Barenboim, Yulia Avdeeva, Alex Klein or Conrad Tao. 


HONOURS 

Maestro Lopez-Reynoso received in March 2018 the state prize to outstanding performance in the arts 'Diego Rivera', granted only every three years to outstanding artists.
