Mro Knapp conducts a wide range of symphonic programs, including complete cycles of Beethoven, Mahler and Brahms symphonies. He also performs a massive repertoire of operas, stretching from such 20th century masterpieces by Debussy, Stravinsky and Janacek, to major operas of Berlioz, Richard Strauss, Saint-Saens, Puccini, to all of the Mozart/Da Ponte operas. He conducts all the major operas of Wagner and Verdi.
Worked with many of the world’s leading orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, L'Orchestre National de France, Houston Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, New World Symphony, Chicago Civic Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Phoenix Symphony and the Pacific Symphony.
