Biography Highlights

Arpi Sinanyan is an Armenian rising-star soprano and a soloist of the Young Opera Program of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Armenia, performing at major venues and cultural events in Armenia and internationally. She made her Armenian opera house debut in Handel’s Messiah in 2025 and debuted at the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic in 2026 in Łódź. Her upcoming engagements include a performance at the Polska Filharmonia Bałtycka in Gdańsk, where she will perform as a soprano in the symphonic concert W rytmie Buenos Aires. She will also appear in various upcoming productions and performances at the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Her repertoire includes Dido, title role in Dido and Aeneas; Tatyana in Eugene Onegin; Carmen, title role in Carmen; Volhova and Morskaya Tsarevna in Sadko; Yaroslavna in Prince Igor; Sacerdotessa in Aida; Medora in Il corsaro; Margherita in Mefistofele; Desdemona in Otello; Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni; and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte.
Her recent competition successes include 2nd Prize at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition, 2nd Prize at the Klaudia Taev Competition, 2nd Prize at the Città di Alcamo Competition, 3rd Prize at the Opera Crown Competition, Youngest Finalist and scholarship recipient at the Renata Tebaldi Competition (Baroque edition), Finalist at the Houston Grand Opera Concert of Arias, and Audience Award at the SOI Fiorenza Cedolins Competition.
In 2025, Sinanyan graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Olga Gabayan and was awarded the Ghazaros Saryan Scholarship. Prior to that, she studied Academic Vocal Performance at the Arno Babajanyan College of Music and Pedagogy.
According to musical critics, Sinanyan is a very promising young dramatic soprano, remarkably mature for her age.
