Andrei Danilov gör hennes älskare Rudolfo med stor briljans. Hans tenorstämma får sin höjdpunkt, som sig bör, i första akten där en av operalitteraturens mest kända arior förekommer, Så kall ni är om handen. Det blir en blixtrande uppvisning i höga tenortoner som klingar länge och övertygande strax intill örat.

Rodolfo spelas av den ryske tenoren Andrei Danilov, som här gör sin första roll på Göteborgsoperan. ... Båda sjunger till att börja med fantastiskt – vi talar faktiskt världsklass här. Bådas röster går rätt in i publikens hjärtan, vilket även agerandet gör. Att Mimì och Rodolfo blir kära på några minuter känns trovärdigt, tack vare de båda solisternas skådespelarinsatser.
