Wiener Staatsoper announces season 2024-25

Get ready for an unforgettable season at the Wiener Staatsoper where we'll be featuring a world-class lineup of talented artists from our management.

Experience the fiery passion of Aigul Akhmetshina as Carmen in Bizet's iconic opera, Carmen. Vitalij Kowaljow will take on the challenging role of The Grand Inquisitor in Verdi's epic masterpiece, Don Carlo.

Timur Zangiev will lead the orchestra as a conductor in Tchaikovsky's gripping drama, Pique Dame. Boris Pinkhasovich will charm the audience as Prince Yeletsky in the same production and deliver a poignant portrayal of Robert in Iolanta.

In Pfitzner's Palestrina, Michael Gniffke embodies the character of Theophilus, while Maria Nazarova displays her versatility in productions of Die Zauberflöte, Così fan tutte, and La bohème. Evgeny Solodovnikov takes on various roles in Salome, Der verfluchte Geisterschiff, Billy Budd, Die Zauberflöte, and Andrea Chénier.

Ilia Kazakov will captivate audiences in Don Giovanni, La bohème, and Il Trovatore. Attila Mokus will take on the roles in Billy Budd and Lohengrin. And don't miss Daria Sushkova's moving performances in Madama Butterfly, Il ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria, and Die Fledermaus.
