We are thrilled to announce our signing of the rising star mezzo soprano Victoria Karkacheva, Winner of the First and Birgit Nilsson Prizes in Operalia 2021, to the Tact Artists roster.
Victoria Karkacheva's upcoming and recent engagements include her debut at the Teatro alla Scala as Charlotte in ‘Werther’, the title role of ‘Carmen’ with Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, her return to Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona as Olga in ‘Eugene Onegin’ and a concert version of Bartók’s ‘Bluebeard’s Castle’ with Josep Pons. Also as Olga ‘Eugene Onegin’, Polina ‘Pique Dame’ and Hélène in the new Tcherniakov production of ‘War and Peace’ all at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
Future seasons will see Victoria debut at the Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro Real Madrid, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Grand Théâtre de Genève and Opéra National de Lyon among others.
Her concert highlights include performances of ‘Iolanta’ with Kirill Petrenko in Berlin and Baden-Baden, Judith in a new production of ‘Bluebeard’s Castle’ at the Opéra de Lyon, which was recorded and broadcast by Medici TV, her debut with Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, in Mahler’s Third Symphony with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and a recital with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker.
