Getting ready for the recently announced upcoming season at the Royal Opera House!
London season will start with “Don Giovanni”. It opens on September 8, with Adam Palka making his ROH debut as Il Commendatore and Thomas Faulkner returning to London as Masetto. In November 2022 Adam Palka will also join the cast of “La Boheme” as Colline, joined by Simona Mihal and Lukasz Golinski reprising their roles of Musetta and Marcello. Later in the season Lukasz Golinski will also return to ROH as The High Priest in “Samson et Dalila”.
On September 25 don’t miss the opening night of “Aida”, featuring Agnieszka Rehlis, who makes her house debut as Amneris.
Aigul Akhmetshina will return to her home-theatre in a role debut as Charlotte in Massenet’s “Werther”, followed by Rosina in “Il barber di Siviglia” alongside Konu Kim as Count Almaviva.
Aleksandra Olczyk will take the stage as The Queen of the Night, joined by Kseniia Nikolaieva as the Third Lady and Colin Judson in the role of Monostatos in "Die Zauberflote”.
In February 2023 Ewa Plonka will make her London ROH debut as Venus in Wagner’s “Tannhauser” and Yulia Matochkina will make her house debut as Princess Eboli in “Don Carlo” in Summer of 2023.
Alexander Kravets will take the stage as The Emperor Altoum in Puccini’s “Turandot” and as Goro in “Madama Butterfly”, joined by Kseniia Nikolaieva as Suzuki.
In April 2023 UK premiere of Kaija Saariaho's opera "Innocence" will feature Timo Riihonen as The Priest.
