Royal Opera House announces season 21/22

The next season at the Royal Opera House is published! 

In September 2021 we are excited to see Aigul Akhmetshina's return to Covent Garden as Maddalena in Verdi's Rigoletto, joined by Kseniia Nikolaieva as Giovanna. Later in the season, Aigul will also appear as Lola in Cavalleria rusticana, opening in February 2022.

During her second season as the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme member Kseniia Nikolaieva can be also seen as Annina in La traviata, Emilia in Otello and Suzuki in Madama Butterfly.

Tenor Aleksander Kravets will join Kseniia performing the part of Goro in Madama Butterfly. The production will open in June 2022.

Bass-baritone Lukasz Golinski will appear as High Priest of Dagon in the new production of Saint-Saëns’s Samson et Dalila, scheduled for May 2022.

Live-action designer Ran Arthur Braun will direct fight scenes for Verdi's Otello, opening in the Summer of 2022.
