We are delighted to welcome New Zealand tenor Oliver Sewell to the TACT roster.
Currently in his second season as a member of the principal ensemble at Theater Bremen, Oliver is performing such roles as Rodolfo (La bohème), Bénédict (Béatrice et Bénédict), and Narraboth (Salome). A versatile and expressive artist, he recently appeared as Edoardo in Un giorno di regno at Garsington Opera and has impressed audiences with title roles in La Clemenza di Tito and Orphée aux enfers, as well as Robert Wilson in John Adams’s Dr. Atomic.
Oliver’s career has taken him across Europe, New Zealand, and the United States, with highlights including Alfredo, Don Ottavio, and Edgardo for Wellington Opera, performances with Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, and US appearances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Crested Butte Music Festival. In 2022, he was awarded First Prize at the Vincerò Competition in Naples.
