We are thrilled to announce that Spanish conductor Pablo Urbina has joined the TACT roster!
A dynamic and inspiring artist, Pablo was recently appointed Music Director of the Algarve Orchestra in Portugal.
In the 2024/25 season, he leads Falla’s El retablo de maese Pedro at Opera de Tenerife, makes his debut with the Orquesta de Granada, and returns to the Navarra Symphony Orchestra, Tenerife Opera, the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and Orquestra Sem Fronteiras.
Over the years, Pablo has conducted renowned orchestras across four continents, including the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, The Hallé, Britten Sinfonia, and the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra. His operatic work includes Rusalka, Die Zauberflöte, Don Giovanni, Un ballo in maschera, Florencia en el Amazonas, and the Spanish premiere of Karl Jenkins’ Eloise.
A prizewinner at the 2023 Siemens Hallé International Conducting Competition, Pablo is deeply committed to education, outreach, and creative leadership. He regularly gives lectures and masterclasses, and serves as an Ambassador for The Amber Trust, which supports blind and visually impaired individuals through music.
