Belgium’s La Monnaie du Mont has announced its exciting new season for 2023-24, featuring a diverse range of productions that are sure to captivate audiences. We are particularly thrilled to have a variety of TACT artists appearing in several performances throughout the season.
Here's a look at what you can expect:
In December, The Tale of Tsar Saltan will start, with maestro Timur Zangiev conducting. Tenor Alexander Kravets will perform the role of Shipman, while Vasily Gorshkov will sing the Old Man. This production will run from December 3rd to 19th, 2023.
March 22nd to April 7th, 2024 will see soprano Gabriela Legun making her La Monnaie debut in Giuseppe Verdi Nostalgia e Rivoluzione. Gabriela will be singing the roles of Virginia and Cristina.
From May 2nd to 14th, 2024, the captivating and hauntingly beautiful Britten's The Turn of the Screw will grace the stage with Mezzo-soprano Allison Cook performing the role of Miss Jessel.
Finally, from June 14th to June 30th, 2024, Puccini's Turandot will come to life with soprano Ewa Vesin singing the title role.
