We are delighted to welcome the exceptional Italian soprano Caterina Marchesini to the TACT roster!
Caterina's recent and upcoming engagements include Leonora in a new production of La Forza del Destino at Buehnen Bern and Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Lina in Stiffelio at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, and Mimi in La bohème at Teatro Sociale di Rovigo and Theater Kiel. Audiences also saw her as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp and Ghent, and as Liu in Turandot at Teatro Verdi di Trieste. Further highlights include her debuts as Giselda in I Lombardi alla prima crociata at Teatro Regio in Parma, Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at Festival Verdi 2024, and performances in L'elisir d'amore across Italy and at the Royal Opera House in Muscat.
A graduate of the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice with honors, Caterina has refined her artistry through masterclasses with operatic legends such as Renata Scotto and Leone Magiera. Her talents have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Parma Lirica Prize and the Young Talent Prize at the "Giulio Neri" Competition.
