Airam Hernández joins TACT for General Management

We are thrilled to announce that tenor Airam Hernández is joining the TACT roster.
With a repertoire that spans from Mozart to contemporary opera, Hernández has been receiving rave reviews for his performances across Europe. 

Currently, Airam Hernández is engaged in a range of exciting projects, including performances of Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor at Oper Köln, Federico Garcia Lorca's El Abrecartas and Maese Pedro's Puppet Show by Falla at Teatro Real de Madrid, and Pollione in Norma at Liceu Opera Barcelona. He will also be taking on the role of Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana di Palermo, and portraying Arcadio in Daniel Catán's Florencia in the Amazons at Opera de Tenerife. 

His repertoire includes Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at the Teatro Real de Madrid, Arbace in Idomeneo and Dionysos in Orest at the Opernhaus Zürich, Ulysse in Fauré's Pénélope and Pollione in Norma at Theâtre du Capitole Toulouse, Alfredo in La Traviata at Teatro La Fenice of Venice, Fenton in Falstaff at the Dallas Opera, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at Opera de Oviedo, Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi at Teatro de La Maestranza of Sevilla, and the title role in Liszt's Sardanapalo with the Staatskapelle Weimar. 
He also performed in Rossini's Stabat Mater and Franck's Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross at Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, and took part in a tour of La Traviata at Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg, Konzerthaus Dortmund and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, conducted by Maestro Teodor Currentzis.

Throughout his career, Airam Hernández has earned recognition for his exceptional artistry. In early 2019, he performed the role of Enrico Caruso in the world premiere of Caruso a Cuba at Dutch National Opera & Ballet, earning the Schaunard Award 2019 for the Best Individual Performance of the Year in the Netherlands.
