Yulia Matochkina makes a spash in Elbphilharmonie with her fantastic portrayal of Brangäne in a concert performance of Wagner's Parsifal. Under the direction of Maestro Valery Gergiev with the Münchner Philharmoniker, Matochkina's rich mezzo garnered the admoration of the public and the critics alike. The critics rave:

Yulia Matochkina came to international prominence in 2015, when she won the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. As a member of the Mariinsky Theatre company Matochkina has toured Austria, Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Spain and the United States as well as Japan and China. 

In February, Yulia will perform as Olga in Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin", opening at Teatro dell Opera di Roma on February 18. 

Future engagements will take her to Sidney, Los Angeles, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Deutsche Oper Berlin, De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam with roles such as Carmen, Venus in Tannhäuser, Amneris in Aida, Eboli in Don Carlos, Mezzo Soprano Solo in Verdi’s Requiem.
