Carolyn Sproulе joins TACT for General Management

We are thrilled to welcome Canadian mezzo-soprano Carolyn Sproulе to TACT for General Management.

Praised for her '"lush and dark and phenomenally powerful ... a true mezzo voice"  Sproule is a regular soloist at the Metropolitan Opera where her roles include Dorabella in "Così fan Tutte", Sandman in "Hansel and Gretel" in a Richard Jones' production, conducted by Sir Andrew Davis.

This season she is set to debut at the Opera Hong Kong in the title role of Carmen, as Pauline "Pique Dame" at Des Moines Metro Opera, as well as appearances as La Ciesca in "Gianni Schicchi " with the San Diego Opera, Dorabella "Così fan Tutte" at the English National Opera, La Zelatrice "Suor Angelica" and "Missa Solemnis" with the Minnesota Orchestra.

Sproule's engagement highlights include "Carmen" at the  Houston Grand Opera and the Pacific Opera Victoria;  Handel’s "Messiah " at the National Arts Centre, her return as Olga in "Eugene Onegin" to the Opéra de Montréal.
