Zoya Tsererina will be singing Lisa in Pique Dame and the title role in Madama Butterfly later this season in Tatar State Opera Kazan and Astrakhan State Opera.
She has recently performed Abigail in Nabucco and Leonora in Il trovatore on a tour in the Netherlands with the Opera of Tatarstan, Tosca for Opera Vladivostok and Turandot for Mariinsky Theatre St Petersburg.
Zoya began her career in Russia as a mezzo singing roles such as Eboli, Amneris, Santuzza and Suzuki.
On the concert platform she has sung the mezzo soprano parts in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Bach´s Messe in H Moll and Verdi's Requiem.
Zoya has collaborated with conductors such as Marco Boemi, Paul Esswood, Stefano Romani, Anton Lubchenko, Gintaras Rinkevicvius, Milos Krejci and Vasily Valitof.
She graduated in singing and conducting from the Mikhail Glinka Conservatory in Novosibirsk.
Subsequently, she perfected her skills under the guidance of Marco Boemi, Irina Soboleva, Anna Rachman, David Abramovitz and took master classes with Renata Scotto, Eliana Kotrubas, Elena Obraztsova, and Vladimir Atlantov.
