Simona's recent and current engagements include Nedda Pagliacci, Mimi La boheme (Royal Opera House), Nedda Pagliacci (La Monnaie), Countess Le Nozze di Figaro (Grange Festival).

 

Other appearences include Roksana Krol Roger (Teatro Massimo di Palermo), Governess The Turn of the Screw (Teatro Muncipal de Santiago, Chile), her debut at La Scala as Poussette and as Second Niece in Peter Grimes and Adina L’elisir d’amore (Salzburg Landestheater)


OPERATIC ENGAGEMENTS

Her other operatic appearences include Glyndebourne Festival, Glyndebourne on Tour, Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome and BBC Proms.


CONDUCTORS

She has sung with renowned conductors including, Antonio Pappano, Evelino Pido, Daniel Oren, Fabio Luisi, Charles Mackerras, Ingo Metzmacher, and Robin Ticciati.


STUDY

Simona Mihai studied in London at the Royal College of Music as a Queen Mother Scholar, and was awarded two Fellowships there on graduation. She is a Samling Foundation Scholar. She was a member of the prestigious Jette Parker Young Artist,  and made her Royal Opera debut in January 2009.
