Biography highlights

Born in Algazino, Russia, Sergey Nikolaev studied at the Pavlov Music College in Cheboksary in the class of professor Anatoly Kanjuka.


During his study in Cheboksary, he participated in numerous operas and operetta projects, organised by the College, performing such operettas as Die Fledermaus and The wedding in Malinovka.

 

In 2014 Sergey graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of professor Boris Kudriavtsev).


During his study in the Conservatory, he has performed such roles as Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Rodolfo in La bohème, Alfredo in La traviata, and Almeric in Iolanta, among others.


In the season 2013/14, Sergey Nikolaev became a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music theatre where his engagements include Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte, Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Gvidon in The Tale of Tsar Saltan, and Paolino in Il matrimonio segreto.


In 2013 he participated in Kyoto International Music Students Festival.
