Petr Sokolov

Baritone

CURRENT SEASON

Petr Sokolov is singing lead baritone roles at Stanislavsky Theatre in Moscow including Don Ferdinand in Prokofiev’s The Betrothal in a  Monastery; Nietzsche in Zhurbin’s Metamorphose. Later this season he sings the role of Marcello in la Boheme. 


Petr has been selected for the Rossini Academy 2018 in Pesaro. 


FUTURE ENGAGEMENTS

Petr Sokolov will open the 2018-19 season at theater Dortmund as Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and as Yeletsky in Pique Dame at Oper Stuttgart. 


This Summer Petr has been selected to be part of the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, and performing in “Il Viaggio a Reims”. 


PAST ENGAGEMENTS

Sokolov has been invited to numerous concerts in Germany, the US and France. Also, he has appeared as General Polkan in The Golden Cockerel at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in 2013.In the same year he appeared as Escamillo in Carmen with the Moscow State Opera in Dublin, where he also performed the role of Sharpless in Madame Butterfly in 2015. In 2016 he sang the lead role in Handel’s Hercules at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet.
